Alright. I have not worked on The Legend of Trevet in a few weeks, and the work that I have been doing on it is editing before I move on. Which can get a bit boring sometimes, but I am just about finished and cannot wait to move on. In fact, I can't even describe to you how excited I am to finally be adding more to the story.
Basically I have it all lined up as to where it's going, the intimate details come in as I go along for the most part...plus I have spent extensive amounts of time collecting certain details that are of the utmost importance and configuring when they take place and so forth. So though it may seem to the uninformed that I am not far along in my endeavor to complete this hopeful novel, I am in fact progressing. Now on with the current stats...
The Legend of Trevet boasts 10 completed chapters. (I have others set up but they are yet to be written out)
75 pages (big whoop, hehe)
32,434 words
I was looking up exactly what my word count has to be in order to be considered a novel...well, it seems that there is no specific answer, because it varies with publishers etc.
Though I read something that broke down different types of novels, and gave the average word count that is required, at least that's what I took from it.
It said that Fantasy novels seem to be about 125,000 words—per volume. It is a lot, however, if you look at the fact that I have 32,434 words and only 10 chapters, with MUCH more ahead of me, I think I will be alright.
Regardless, I will finish, and I will get it published. I'm not going to worry myself about it's likability right now, or stress over word count. I will find a way.
So, that is the basic update I suppose...I am excited to be moving on with it, I really am. I have not worked on anything lately...which saddens me, I don't want to loose my mindset with writing. It seems impossible right now, because I really love writing, but it is a fear of mine...
Pray for me that I can overcome any self influencing failure, and just work for an ending.
I think I might have another short for you soon...Most likely the third part to Lericevi...who knows.
